December is such a busy month! But being as it’s Christmas eve there’s still just enough time to share a roundup of this years Christmas decor…
Living Room
The ribbon in the tree was my favourite feature this year, I struggled to find one that looked luxurious and so ended up buying some ribbon and wire mesh from the range and layered them for more texture. I was so pleased with the look and used the same idea to create a voluminous bow for the tree topper.
My wrapping theme stayed very much the same as last year, black and white craft paper with monochrome tags and ribbons.
I added a few simple festive touches to our shelving, it wouldn’t be complete without a nativity scene.
Dining Room
Here I created a full garland for the radiator cover. I used a very plain garland for the base and filled it out with shimmering leafy garlands, plain and snowy eucalyptus. A white table cloth, silver placemats, candles and a white berry garland keep it simple but effective.
Meet our festive companion Randolph, complete with a monochrome bow 🙂
Staircase
I shared a full video tutorial on instagram of how I created our staircase garland. Again it looks expensive but it was so affordable! I loved seeing the pictures of those who went on to use the tutorial to create garlands in their own home! You can also read here how I create a very similar look.
Bedroom
I kept things very simple in here adding a lit wreath and our ‘believe’ cushion to the bed. Knitted cushions and a chunky knit throw keep it cosy. Then I created a shimmering bouquet for the dressing table. I would love to have a Christmas tree in the bedroom but there’s just not enough space, so this is a pretty alternative.
Hope you enjoyed the Christmas tour! Thank you so much to everyone who has taken the time to visit my blog this year, I hope to keep monthly updates going in 2019, there’s lots in store with a huge renovation project on the go.
From our home to yours I wish you a very merry Christmas and a happy 2019!
