The decorations are up, the gifts are wrapped, the Celebrations tin has been opened, can you believe Christmas is less than a week away? I thought I’d finish up my blog posts for 2017 with a Christmas roundup. So here’s a quick festive home tour and some of my favourite decor pieces from this season.
Come on in 🙂
– Welcome –
I made this wreath with foliage from my parents garden and snowy eucalyptus that I picked up at M&S. The whole wreath cost me £3! You can make a base with some flexible branches like I did, or pick up a ready made base. Some garden wire and a finishing ribbon and you’re good to go.
– Living Room –
The key word this year has been simplicity. I went for a white theme and a less is more approach for an uncluttered and effortless feel.
This years tree is adorned with white baubles, sparkling organza (as I also used last year) and lace. A plain lit wreath and some candles are enough to complete the look.

Mercury glass looks so elegant with a white scheme. I picked up this large three wick scented candle at The Range and it looks beautiful lit in the evenings. I also treated myself to the grey textured lambs wool cushion from The White Company (look out for their sales), it is so soft and cosy for winter days. They have been my favourite purchases this season!

As you know from my 2016 Christmas tour I love to coordinate my wrapping with my decor scheme and this year has been no exception. Black and white paper with monochrome patterned ribbons looks so chic.
– Dining Room –
I have a white table cloth and decor ready for our Christmas table (which I’ll show on Instagram), but I’ve had a more simple festive centrepiece throughout the month so the table is useable in the meantime! Again, plain lit greenery and mercury glass so the rooms connect and flow one to the next. I took this photo the weekend the snow came; such perfect December memories :).
More of my Christmas table inspiration can be found here.

Heading upstairs… I created a full faux lit garland for our staircase and love how it turned out! I won’t elaborate as there is a dediated post with all the DIY details here.
– Bedroom –
I love the idea of having a Christmas tree in the bedroom but space wouldn’t allow. Instead, I opted for a white festive bouquet consisting of faux poinsettia, roses, orchids and eucalyptus. A nice solution and classy alternative.

Last but not least, I did ever so slightly break my white Christmas theme as I couldn’t bring myself to put this beautiful shimmering gold poinsettia garland back in the attic. Can you blame me?
I hope you enjoyed the tour! And as this is my last blog post for 2017 I’d like to say a huge THANK YOU for the support you have shown my blog in it’s first few months. So many of you have paid a visit and I’ve had such lovely supportive messages which I appreciate so much. I wish you a restful holiday, a very merry Christmas and a happy and healthy 2018!
